Constantan
Copper-Nickel alloy intended for the production of thermoelectrodes thermocouples and compensation wires. Used in thermocouples. Mark this alloy has the following designation: Kg, 40-1,5.

Chemical composition
The main chemical elements entering into the composition of the alloy Constantan, are Nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co) and copper (Cu). The content of Nickel + cobalt (Ni + Co) is 39,0-41,0%, the rest – copper (Cu). In addition to the Nickel alloy Kg, 40-1,5 contains 1.0-2.0% manganese (Mn). The amount of impurities which include arsenic (As), carbon (C), iron (Fe), phosphorus (P), lead (Pb), sulfur (S) and some other substances, is 0.9%.
